Aer Arann Brings the West and South East of Ireland Even Closer with New Services
10/05/2010Monday 10th May: Aer Arann customers in Galway are set to benefit from additional direct links to Waterford as the airline increases flights on this route from two days per week to six days per week from May 30th.
The airline currently operates 18 flights per week from Galway to London Luton, 4 of which route via Waterford on Tuesdays and Wednesdays only.
Under the new schedule, 8 of Aer Arann's Galway - London Luton flights will now route via Waterford offering a six day per week direct service to Waterford, excluding Saturdays.
All remaining 10 London Luton flights will continue to operate direct from Galway, including direct morning and evening flights on Mondays Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Flights to Waterford from Galway start from €29.99 one way including taxes, while flights to London Luton from Galway start from €59 one way including taxes.
Commenting on the new services Aer Arann Corporate Affairs Director Andrew Kelly said "We recognised the demand by passengers in Galway for a regular connection with Waterford. With no motorway linking both cities, it can often mean a long and arduous car journey.
Once again Aer Arann is offering crucial links between the regions of Ireland, driving business and leisure tourism, as well as making travel throughout the island of Ireland easy, accessible and convenient" he added.
Michael Moloney, Marketing Manager at Galway Airport said "This is a welcome addition to Aer Arann's portfolio of services from Galway Airport. This domestic link not only opens up the south east to passengers from Galway and surrounding areas, but will also help to drive valuable business and leisure tourism in the west of Ireland".
The additional Galway-Waterford services are on sale from Wednesday May 12th. For further information, flight times and to make a booking visit www.AerArann.com
