Lorient is back - OOH LA LA!
07/02/2011Aer Arann has announced the return of its popular summer service to Lorient from Galway Airport, offering holiday makers a convenient link with the Brittany region of France.
Beginning on Saturday 4th June, the Galway to Lorient service will operate every Saturday with a very convenient departure time of 2.10pm getting you and your family into Lorient at 5pm. Fares at €69.99 one way, including all taxes & charges are now available for booking on aerarann.com
Commenting on the announcement, Andrew Kelly, Director of Corporate Affairs, Aer Arann said, "We are delighted to re-introduce our seasonal Lorient service. This route has proved extremely popular over the years, not only among passengers travelling outbound from Ireland but also among our French neighbours, visiting Galway and the surrounding areas particularly Connemara".
Michael Moloney, Marketing Manager, Galway Airport said, "We are delighted to see the return of this very popular service as Lorient is an extremely attractive destination for holiday-goers from the West of Ireland and we are very confident that this route will continue to grow in popularity this year as it has in previous years."
Also I have no doubt that we will add extra passengers onto the route this summer as people from the midlands now have easier and quicker access to the airport by using the new M6 motorway - it couldn't be easier to get to us.
The convenient service and the location of the airport will combine to give us a busy summer on our Lorient route".
Lorient, Brittany's fourth largest city, is a gateway to one of France's most outstanding regions. Brittany comprises rugged coastlines with some of the world's most breathtaking views. It features more than 4,000 chateaux, manors and medieval homes and is an ideal destination for water sports enthusiasts, lovers of fine cuisine and seafood, and anyone fascinated by legends and history.Visit www.brittanytourism.com for further information.
