Edinburgh Galway launched

Aer Arann, Ireland’s regional airline, today announced it will commence a new Edinburgh to Galway service from Friday the 19th of December 2003. The airline will provide one flight per day, five days a week to Galway Airport in the West of Ireland to cater for leisure and business passengers.

With fares from £99 return including tax the 1 hour 20 minute flight will depart Edinburgh at 2110 and the returning flight will depart Galway at 1920. The flight will be operated on a 48 seater ATR42 aircraft.

Commenting on the announcement, Jennifer Mooney, Commercial Manager, Aer Arann said; ‘‘ Aer Arann is delighted to be announcing a second Edinburgh Ireland route and providing necessary air access for the UK into popular destinations like Galway which is renowned for its scenic environs and arts culture. With substantial demand for this service in both departure and destination regions this route seemed the obvious choice. We feel we are exceptionally well positioned to operate this new service and look forward to growing and developing the service from Edinburgh to Galway over the coming months’’.
