Galway Airport is proud to announce the launch of their new website - www.galwayairport.com which recently took flight!

With its modern dynamic design, users will find the new website easy on the eye as well as easy to navigate with the latest technology providing an array of features designed to put the most up-to-date information at the fingertips of Galway Airport customers.

Some of the new features include a link to real-time flight information, an on-line hotel booking system, a new search feature for airport services as well as a road Route Planner to get passengers safely and quickly to and from the airport.

Speaking at the launch of the website Galway Airport Marketing Manager, Michael Moloney said "we are very pleased with the ‘look and feel' of our new website as the navigation and layout is streamlined to present a simple, easy to use guide through the wealth of information available to the user".

He went on to say that "besides providing all the relevant and up to date information with regard to the airport and its operations, the site also provides  information on key events that are happening both in Galway (What's on in Galway) but also in the airports' destination cities (Destination Events) for example you can get relevant details on the Chelsea Flower show in London in May -just simply check out the homepage".

Also "the new Live Flight information will reduce the need for customers to telephone the airport or the airline to get up to date information with regard to either outbound or inbound flights -you can simply check it out on-line and plan your trip to the airport accordingly".

Commenting on the site Brian O'Dowd of Design Associates said "Galway Airport has demonstrated their dedication to connect Galway to the rest of the world by designing a website to illustrate this connectivity. Galway Airport wished to convey the message that it is a modern, dynamic and convenient airport. Design Associates applied these brand principles in the design of this website to communicate that vision to a wider audience"

Design Associates worked in partnership with Efficacy Ltd. who advised on the architecture of the website and developed the content management system that powers the site.

Speaking at the launch Adele Clinton of Efficacy Ltd referred to a key factor in the development of the site " in keeping with Galway Airport's brand of ‘connecting you' our vision was to create an on-line presence for Galway Airport that would be the obvious starting point for the business and tourist traveller when planning their next trip".
