Slattery Sun announces new summer

One of Ireland’s leading tour operators today announced that it is to operate to three sun destinations from Galway Airport this Summer.

In its announcement Slattery Sun said it would operate twice weekly services to Malaga, Faro and Bordeaux. David Slattery, CEO, Slattery Sun said “we are delighted to be in a position to offer sun destinations this summer from Galway Airport. The people of Galway and the surrounding region no longer have to worry about getting to and through larger airports, as Malaga, Faro and Bordeaux are now effectively available from their doorstep”.

The programme commences on June 22 and runs initially until the end of September. Flights to Malaga depart Tuesdays and Sundays while to Faro flights depart on Wednesdays and Saturdays, Bordeaux flights will operate on Fridays and Mondays. The programme will be operated using a BAE146 four engine jet aircraft.

Joe Walsh, General Manager, Galway Airport congratulated Slattery Sun on their announcement saying “these new routes are an extension of our niche product offering from Galway Airport. Flights to Malaga operated successfully from Galway two years ago and were very well received by our customers. Market research has indicated that there is substantial demand for services to both Faro and Bordeaux. We recognise the importance of this announcement of summer sun destinations and look forward to growing them in the future”.
