Two Millionth Passenger for Galway Airport

On Monday October 8th last Galway Airport achieved another major milestone in its history by celebrating its two millionth passenger.
The lucky passenger,Mrs Catherine Morris,was about to board a flight to Manchester when she was named over the airport public address system as the two millionth passenger to use Galway Airport.
Catherine Morris and her husband Pat,were travelling back home to Sale in Manchester after one of their regular visits to her husband’s home-place in Turloughmore in Lackagh,Co. Galway.Pat Morris emigrated to Manchester over 30 years ago and worked in the construction business for many years.One of a family of eight,six of whom emigrated at the time,Pat now owns his own construction company in Manchester.
As a result of being the two millionth passenger Catherine won herself return flights for two for any Aer Arann destination out of Galway,a luxury week-end for two in the Presidential Suite of the newly opened four star Clayton Hotel in Ballybrit,Galway and to top it all a €250 voucher for the new retail area in the new-look Departures Lounge at the airport.
