The 2010 Round Ireland Offshore Powerboat Race is coming to Galway!

On Sunday, June 5th 2010, over 75 world-class powerboats will leave Galway Bay in pursuit of the Around Ireland Offshore title.  The round Ireland race will take in the ports of Kilybegs, Bangor, Waterford and Fenit before returning to Galway on Saturday, June 12th for the festival finale.

The 800-mile race will see 75 boats complete for the honours in the 6 day festival and organisers are expecting fierce competition.  This race is not for the faint hearted.  Ireland's varied coastline will prove a fierce test for even the most experienced powerboat enthusiasts.

Offshore, Galway will echo the excitement of the recent Volvo Ocean Race and a full festival programme of music, entertainment, a boat show, food and craft markets will ensure fun for all the family once again.
