25th - 27th September 2009

Féile an Dóilín is the west of Ireland's premier maritime fesitval, taking place annually on the shores of Galway Bay, in the Gaeltacht (Irish-speaking region) village of An Cheathrú Rua, Connemara. Celebrating this unique region's rich maritime history, the festival has something to offer to everyone, young and old.

The festival revolves around the ancient and beautiful Galway Hooker boat. From the Parade of Sail in August to Paráid na bhFathach (Parade of the Giant) in September, lectures on maritime history and boat-making exhibitions, there really is no better place in Ireland than An Cheathrú Rua during the two Dóilín weekends.

25-27 Meán Fomhair 2009

Is í Féile an Dóilín príomh-fhéile mara iarthar na hÉireann, ag déanamh ceiliúradh
ar oidhreacht farraige ceantar Gaeltachta Chonamara. Le himeachtaí ar mhuir agus ar
thalamh do chuile aois-ghrúpa, tá Húicéir na Gaillimhe mar lár-chuid den Fhéile.

Ó bParáid Seoltóireachta i mí Lúnasa go dtí Paráid na bhFathach i Meán Fomhar, ó
thaispeántais déanta bád go léacht mara, níl áit níos fearr le bheith in Éirinn ná ar an
gCeathrú Rua i gConamara le linn an dá dheireadh seachtaine d'Fhéile an Dóilín.
