The Scottish Half Marathon will take place on Sunday 23rd May 2010, the same day as the Edinburgh Marathon.

The Scottish Half is planned to start earlier than the marathon, ensuring only one set of runners on the course at any one time, but it will still capture the big race excitement of the Edinburgh Marathon and the grandstand finish at Musselburgh Racecourse.

With around 25,000 runners expected to enter the 2010 Edinburgh Marathon, Scottish Half Marathon and Hairy Haggis Team Relay it will now be one of the biggest running festivals in the UK. With an elevation drop of 40 metres the route is a must for anyone seeking a personal best.

2010 Route
The 2010 route will follow much of the same route as previous years. It will start in the city centre taking in Holyrood Park, Leith Links and Portobello Promenade, it will then go through East Lothian before a grandstand finish in Musselburgh Racecourse.
