Fly direct Galway to Lorient commencing May 29th!

The worlds largest gathering of Celtic cultures: a festival of research, of creation and meetings, open to the world.

Since its foundation, 40 years ago, the Interceltic Festival of Lorient ( le Festival Interceltique de Lorient) promote the interceltism: a common identity based on the diversity of cultures.

Today, on international level it has become one of the largest festivals and every year one celtic country is invited to be guest of honor.

Around 500,000 spectators crowd the streets and the annual gathering features musicians, singers, dancers, painters, sculptors, writers and other artists.

The city's surroundings mean that outdoor activities such as horse-riding, angling, golf and cycling are all available.

Lorient is a great base for exploring what Brittany has to offer. Why not visit the islands of Groix-Ile and Belle-Ile just off the Brittany coast, marvel at the Neolithic standing stones at Carnac, or visit the small seaside towns that stretch right along the coast.
