Traveling onwards from Manchester Airport, your options are the following:

 

1.       Rail

The Station, Manchester Airport's integrated transport hub, offers fast and frequent train services linking the airport with over 100 destinations. 

Frequent direct services run to and from Sheffield, York, Newcastle, Leeds, Huddersfield, Bolton, Preston, Blackpool and The Lake District serviced by Trans Pennine Express and Northern Rail which runs 24 hours a day seven days a week.

Up to six trains a hour link the airport to Manchester Piccadilly Station in the City Centre, where you can connect to fast rail service countrywide.  Tickets can be purchased on line and collect them from the self service ticket machine in the baggage reclaim halls.

2.       Bus

A number of Bus/Coach services are available from The Station, Manchester Airport.

Skyline - Stagecoach 105: services Manchester City Centre every 30 minutes (Early morning to late evening)

(ii)               
Skyline - Stagecoach 43: services Manchester City Centre every 10 minutes (Early morning to late night)

(iii)              
Skyline - Stagecoach 369/X69: services Stockport (Early morning to late evening)

(iv)             
Arriva 18: services Altrincham, Trafford Centre every 30 minutes

(v)               
Arriva 19, services Altrincham via Sele, every 10 minutes 24 hours a day.

(vi)             
Skyline Trent Barton 199: services to Buxton every 30 minutes (early morning till mid evening)

Skyline buses are provided by a partnership between Manchester Airport and the bus operators Stagecoach Manchester, Trent and Arriva North West.

All Skyline buses run every half-hour to Manchester Airport from very early in the morning to late at night.

3.       Coach

Buying Tickets
The coach ticket desk is open daily at The Station from 7am to 6pm.

However to guarantee a seat it's advisable to book your coach ticket in advance.
