Mayo

Mayo is a stunningly beautiful unspoilt environment with amazing scenery to be found.  Across the county, each town and village has its own unique characteristics and attractions. 

The county has a number of first-rate museums, over 3,000 historical and archeological sites, great restaurants, arts and crafts and great shopping.  You'll also find music and traditional days in a number of towns and villages.

Unique attractions include Croagh Patrick, Westport House Estate, Knock Shrine, the world famous Céide Fields,  Foxford Woollen Mills, Hennigans Heritage Farm and the National Museum of Ireland's Museum of Country Life.

Mayo is a vast county offering a large number of outdoor activities which include angling, walking, hill walking, beaches, surfing, boating, horseback riding and every type of organised sport.
